advelox The advelox points system for caregivers

As a member of the Advelox© community, you have subscribed to a plan. As a caregiver, you can spend points, but also earn points.

How to earn points?

As part of the Advelox© community you will receive advice requests from your patients and in some cases from other patients. Each patient receives a limited number of free requests. When this quota is consumed, he will have to buy a new quota to issue new requests.

Each paid request from patients you are answering will generate 1 point

See below the definition of a request and a practical example. Some requests are granted to patients for free. These will not generate points. A full conversation may generate several points.

2 points will be earned when requests are sent and answered over night (between 7 PM till 8 AM)

How to spend points?

Each plan gives you access to a certain number of services. (Consult your subscription plan for more info on services) When subscribing a plan, you will be granted with a certain number of points, except for the “START” subscription plan. Points are used to activate the Advelox© services, except for the “START” subscription plan services that don’t require points and the “GOLDEN” plan where almost all ADVELOX© services can be used without limitations. The number of points needed may change based on the services you will use.

  • 1 point for a message you want to send to your patient(s) (not to confuse with the answers on normal requests from patients)
  • 1 point for a request to one of your peers/colleagues. See below the definition of a request.
  • 5 points for a web meeting with your patients

When all points are used, you will be able to buy new points or/and upgrade your subscription plan.

What is a medical advice request?

Advelox© has defined the request as following: As a caregiver you will receive questions from yourpatients : please make sure your answer is as complete as possible. After submitting your answer, 1 point will be debited from your patient account and 1 point will be added to your account (when it’s a paid request). As long as the conversation is not closed by you, your patient can ask additional questions or provide additional info within the same conversation. Each time a new answer is provided by you, an additional point will be debited from your patient account and an additional added to your account.

Best practice

Your patient Jan has a request for his caregiver, André.

Jan’s request: “Hello Doctor André, I don’t remind which pill I need to take first and when. You prescribed me a red pill, a yellow one and an orange pill. Can you help? See attached a picture of my pills.”

Jan submits the request

André’s answer: “Hi Jan. Thanks for reaching me. Please take the red pill during lunch with water. The orange and the yellow one just after the evening meal. First the yellow one.”

André submits his answer and closes the conversation

-1 point will be debited from Jan’s Account.
+1 point will be granted to André

Bad practice

Jan has a request for his caregiver, André.

Jan’s request: “Hello Doctor. It’s Jan. I don’t know which pills I need to take and when”

Jan submits the request

André’s answer: “Hi Jan. Can you provide me more info? Which pills?

André submits his answer

Jan updates his request: “You prescribed me a red pill, a yellow one and an orange pill. Can you help? See attached a picture of my pills.

André’s answer: “Please take the red pill during lunch with water. The orange and the yellow one just after the evening meal. First the yellow one.” André submits his answer and closes the conversation

-2 points will be debited from Jan’s account.
+2 points will be granted to André

What can I do with earned points?

Earned points are always translated in a money value. Only paid requests are eligible for the cash value calculation. A paid request is valued at 4€ (VAT included) of which a 20% outlay is foreseen which is available for the caregiver. The earned outlay can be used to :

  • Purchase points or renew/upgrade your subscription
  • Transfer to your bank account (at the end of every quarter)
  • Donate to a charity organisation that Advelox© sponsors

Conclusion

Be as complete as possible when answering requests to patients. Also, your patients are asked to be as complete as possible in their requests. This will reduce the number of points they consume. Of course, some requests may need more than 1 question and answer. You will earn points based on the answers you provide to paid requests. These points will be converted in a cash value that you can use in different ways : services, bank transfer or for a charity.
