1. Will I receive a full consultation through Advelox?
Advelox does not substitute for the consultation at the office of your caregiver. The reason is that your caregiver needs to proceed for a physical examination which can’t be done via communication tool such as Advelox. Advelox wants to help patients to get quick answers on a whole series of medically related questions rising after a consultation or after a hospital discharge. You might be asked to move back to your caregiver depending on the question.
2. Can I get an initial diagnosis through Advelox ?
No, Advelox does not substitute for the consultation during which an initial diagnosis is set up and a treatment schedule is established.
3. Can I receive a prescription through Advelox ?
Advelox will allow generating prescriptions through the official procedure as a result of the advice request and related conversation with your caregiver.
4. Can I have a video conversation thanks to Advelox ?
No, video conversations are not proposed by Advelox. The Belgian Order of Physicians is not in favour of this means of communication as it could encourage to substitute for the consultation. (see question 1)

Advelox will contact him/her and propose him/her the Advelox services. If he/she quickly accepts to become a member, he/she can still take your request in charge. If not, see question 5
7. Who has access to the communications with my caregivers ?

Advelox proposes different membership formulas with a variety of services. Each time you use Advelox to send out a request, the system will charge you a number of points from a given amount that you will have purchased through the chosen membership formula. Each back and forth communication exchange (from yourself and from your caregiver) gives place to the debit of your account of 1 point. The more precisely a question is defined the less back and forth communication between you and your caregiver will be needed.
9. Will I get reimbursed for the cost of using Advelox ?
RIZIV/INAMI does not yet reimburse digital interactions of any kind
10. To whom can I address medical advice requests using Advelox ?
You will be able to define a series of caregivers who usually take you in charge. The general practitioner will usually be the main caregiver. Around him/her, you’ll be able to select other caregivers such as specialists, nurses, physiotherapists, dentists, …
11. Who is checking the identity of the caregivers?
Advelox will ensure that all registered caregivers are certified by their official bodies at time of registration. Advelox has also put in place a system to ensure further validation of the identity of the caregivers.
12. Can I use Advelox to avoid going to the emergency ward ?
No, Advelox does not substitute for the emergency ward. In case of emergency, please call the emergency number in your country (112 in the EU).
13. What information does Advelox collect ?
Advelox does not collect any information on the exchanged content, nor on the name of the caregivers you exchange with. This information remains entirely confidential. Advelox only collects anonymous information on the way users navigate on the platform in order to further improve the platform in the future. It also collects some anonymous feedback on the health economics and the impact of Advelox on the incurred costs. This happens via surveys and is done on a voluntary basis.
14. How much will I have to pay for using Advelox services ?
